As of September 2019, Amazon Product Display is now Amazon Sponsored Display, ads that re-engage shoppers off Amazon and drive them to your detail pages.
Amazon Sponsored Display (formerly Product Display) Ads are pay-per-click (PPC) ads that promote your products and attempt to cross-sell or up-sell customers. These ads show on product detail pages, customer review pages, and below the search results. Display Ads can also be included on abandoned cart, follow-up, and recommendation emails to your customers.
This ad type delivers relevant ads to users with certain interests or those who are actively viewing specific products. Amazon Display Ads offer two targeting options: product and interest targeting. With product targeting, you choose to target specific products or product categories. Using interest targeting, you target potential customers’ interests based on specific interests. A creative for your Sponsored Display campaign is automatically created when you build your ad, and you’re required only to add a headline and logo.
