E-commerce Marketplace Sees Huge Increase When Transitioning to Google Smart Shopping Campaigns
Our client is an e-commerce marketplace offering a variety of products – from electronics and clothing, to auto parts – at competitive prices.
The company needed Google Shopping experts who could implement a strategy that would increase their conversions.
In 2017 we initially set up standard Shopping campaigns that improved the company’s numbers. In September 2018, we transitioned the client to Google Smart Shopping campaigns to push forward with their goals of increasing impressions, clicks, and conversions. We created new Smart Shopping campaigns based on brands sold in the marketplace, including a catchy creative ad. This rebuilding put a focus on decreasing the average CPC and finding which brands are big sellers.
Less than 90 days after implementing Google Smart Shopping Campaigns, the marketplace has seen dramatic results. Impressions are up 215%, with impressive increases in clicks (312%) and conversions (217%). While achieving these results, the average CPC decreased by 63%.
