In Amazon’s continuous efforts to enhance user experience and standardize product information, they are introducing changes that will impact your product listings. These changes are aimed at making it easier for customers to find relevant information about your products. Starting January 29, 2024, the following document types will no longer be supported on the product detail page.
Unsupported Document Types:
- 2D CAD
- 3D CAD
- Application Guide
- Comparison Chart
- Compatibility Guide
- Size Guide
- Specification Sheet
- Product Documentation
Customers will still be able to view unsupported document types already present on your product detail pages until February 26, 2024. Additionally, you will retain the ability to access and transfer content from all your documents through Seller Central until that date.
On February 26, 2024, any unsupported document types will be removed from your product detail pages and Seller Central. To ensure a seamless transition, Amazon recommends taking the following steps before this date:
- Move Information: Visit Manage Product Documents before February 26 and relocate relevant information from unsupported document types to the appropriate section of the product detail page, such as the product description or bullet points.
- Re-upload Content: If applicable, re-upload content from unsupported document types to one of the 14 supported document types. For instance, content from a ‘FAQ’s’ could be transferred or added to a ‘User Guide’ or ‘User Manual’.
- Utilize A+ Content: If eligible, A+ content can be created for Comparison Charts, FAQ`s, and even Size Guides. For more information on A+ Content, login to your Seller Central account and click here.
Despite these changes, you can continue to access and transfer content from all your documents within Seller Central. This ensures that you have the flexibility to manage your product information effectively.
