Social media continues to drive online purchases. Amazon and Snapchat are testing a partnership aimed at younger shoppers wanting speed and efficiency using Visual Search.
Snapchat users can shop on Amazon simply by scanning a product or barcode. If available, an overlay card will show information about that product or similar items on Amazon, including price, reviews, and a buy now button.
First announced last year, the Visual Product Search partnership has slowly been rolling out.
Visual Search on Snap joins other social media commerce platforms including Instagram Stories Shopping and Pinterest Lens & Shop the look.
