We’re thrilled to announce Vertical Rail’s video production of “The Spirit of Tillicum” (Seattle Day Trip to Blake Island & Tillicum Village) was recently awarded a Platinum Marketing award by MarCom Awards.
Michael Cestaro, Senior Manager of Video Services, said he was proud that Argosy staff and the native Coast Salish dancers allowed their story to be told.
“As story tellers we’re constantly looking for glimpses of candid sincerity to capture with the lens,” Cestaro said. “The palpable feeling you have when you’re looking out toward the gray and blue of Puget Sound and listening to the stories of the Coast Salish people – I want people to feel that. I wanted to pay homage to the native music of the Coast Salish people too. I used similar poly-rhythms and drum within the frame of a very cinematically orchestrated arrangement to really draw the viewer in to the visuals and narrative of the video.”
Vertical Rail owner Andrew Arenson said he — and client Argosy Cruises – couldn’t be more proud of the completed project.
“We strive to do outstanding work on every project, to push ourselves and get the greatest result for the client, their viewers and ourselves,” he said. “This project illustrated that we can accomplish whatever we set out minds to.”
