Nextag Closes Nextag Store Doors

Participating Merchants Must Adapt Quickly

Nextag Stores BannerIt’s been a week full of changes in the world of comparison shopping engines.  Right on the tail of Shopping.com’s announcement of its merger with eBay comes another splash in industry news: starting April 15, 2013, Nextag will ending its Nextag Stores program.  (Scroll down for the official e-mail announcement)

What does this mean for merchants currently participating in Nextag Stores?

Nextag Stores operated on a cost-per acquisition model and charged merchants both a transaction fee ($0.99) and a minimum revenue share rate (starting at 8%) that was defined by product category.

Merchants who are currently participating in this channel must adapt quickly and switch over to the Nextag CPC model or risk being dropped from the comparison shopping engine.  Luckily, Nextag has offered its services to its existing merchants – to switch an account over from the CPA model to CPC, contact its support team at sellersupport@nextag.com and be sure to check back at the Vertical Rail blog for more updates!

Has this changeover affected you or do you have questions about how this might affect your business? Post below!
