PriceGrabber offers two ways to create an account: self service and assisted account creation.
To sign up with a new account representative, click “Have a PriceGrabber representative Create My Account” link, under the paragraph titled Sign up with a New Account Representative.
To sign up to create your account via the self serve option, click “Get me started now” link under the paragraph titled PriceGrabber's CPC Program for Merchants.
During the account creation process, you will need to provide the following information:
- Business Information
- Accepted payment methods (Visa/MC, Purchase Orders, Paypal, Google Checkout, etc.)
- Special features of your site (online order tracking, live customer representative, secure checkout)
- Shipping methods available for orders
Once the account has been created, be sure that you have received both the merchant account login AND the FTP login needed to send the feed to PriceGrabber. Record these, as you will need them later.
PriceGrabber has many of their consumer electronics, books, and other hard goods categories catalogued. Correct MPN/UPC/ISBN information is important and especially for merchants whose products fall into these hard goods categories. PriceGrabber uses MPN/UPC/ISBN data to match sellers of the same products together on a single product page, allowing a user to compare merchants and prices. If the data feed is not working properly, your products will not show correctly.
After the data feed has been configured and sent via FTP to PriceGrabber, there are two ways to make sure your feed begins processing. Login to your account. Click the green "Your Account" tab at the top. You may or may not see links reading "Feed Format" and "Shipping and Tax Info", depending on your account type. If you see these links, follow the instructions in #1 below. If not, skip to the instructions in #2.
- Locate and click on the “Feed Format” link and answer a couple of questions regarding your feed and specify the feed filename. A good idea is to upload a sample feed PriceGrabber can analyze and make sure that the format and column headers in your feed are recognized properly. Make adjustments only if necessary.
Click the "Shipping and Tax Info" link to tell PriceGrabber your shipping and tax information is located in your feed or if the shipping cost should be calculated using a formula. You will need to specify the states in which you charge sales tax. - When the feed is in place, tell PriceGrabber the name of the file, and request they begin processing the feed. If you are unsure who you should contact, login to your merchant account. At the bottom right section of the page, you will see either a dedicated account manager name and contact information, or you will see the contact information for the PriceGrabber Merchant Services team.
Feed processing usually takes 3 to 5 days to complete and your products to go live.
